Comcast Corp. said it would expand its retail presence later this month by
marketing its high-speed Internet and digital-cable services at scores of Best
Buy Co. Inc. stores across 14 states.
Best Buy will preview Comcast@Home -- already marketed by such chains as
CompUSA, RadioShack Corp. and Staples Inc. -- at displays in more than 60 of its
retail outlets within the MSO's coverage areas.
Best Buy will also allow consumers to order Comcast Digital Cable at displays
in its Pennsylvania and New Jersey stores.
Best Buy stores in such markets as Little Rock, Ark.; Tallahassee, Fla.;
Savannah, Ga.; Baltimore; Detroit; Philadelphia; and Washington, D.C., will also
be involved, the companies said.
