Comcast's Richey Adds Responsibilities In Alabama

Comcast has expanded the duties of Don Richey, the operator's general manager in Mississippi.
Richey, who has been leading the top cable operator's systems in Tupelo and northern Mississippi since September 2007, now also supervises its northern Alabama unit, including Huntsville, Florence, Tuscaloosa and Gadsden.
He will continue to oversee the northern Mississippi systems in West Point, Okolona, Fulton and Corinth, and remain based in Tupelo, which is centrally located for his new service area.
Richey began his career in the cable industry nearly 40 years ago as an installer and was quickly promoted to technical services manager and later general manger. He joined the Comcast Southern Division after serving as regional manager for Comcast in Aurora, Indiana, a system acquired from Susquehanna Communications. Prior to that, he worked for Time Warner Cable in Anniston, Alabama, where he won recognition for customer service and increasing the customer base.
"Don follows Claire Evans, who recently accepted the position of director of marketing for Comcast in ast Tennessee, and Butch Jernigan, who is assuming the role of area director of technical operations for the Comcast Delta Area," said Terry Kennedy, market vice president for the Comcast Delta Area, in making the announcement.
