Comcast's ThePlatform Hires Pair Of Execs

ThePlatform, Comcast's Internet-video publishing subsidiary, announced the hiring of Mike Horwitz as vice president of engineering and Tina Santos as general counsel.

Horwitz will lead thePlatform's core product development, testing and deployment, and oversee the company's operational business intelligence, including capacity planning and metrics monitoring. He previously spent more than five years in senior-level engineering positions at Comcast, most recently serving as senior director of engineering for Comcast Converged Products.

Santos will oversee all legal and compliance matters for thePlatform. She previously served as general counsel for StreamServe, a global software company based in London, for the past eight years.

Both will be based out of thePlatform's Seattle headquarters. Horwitz will report to thePlatform CEO Ian Blaine, and Santos reports to chief operating officer and chief financial officer Jamie Miller.
