Comedy Central Gets Futurama

Comedy Central reached a multiyear deal with Twentieth Television for Emmy Award-winning animated comedy series Futurama, the network announced Thursday.

The cable network acquired all 72 episodes of the series, which is scheduled to join its lineup in January 2008.

Futurama, created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, aired on Fox from 1999-2003.
