Comedy Central will hold “The Bud Light South Beach Comedy Festival” in South Beach, Fla., Jan. 18-21.
The four-day multicultural festival -- in collaboration with the William Morris Agency, Fantasma Productions Inc. and Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. -- will showcase up-and-coming Latino and urban comedians and other top performers.
Among those scheduled to appear: Univision host Fernando Arau; Mario Cantone; Dane Cook; Greg Giraldo, host of Comedy’s Friday Night with Greg Giraldo; actress, comedienne and “D-List” fixture Kathy Griffin; Weekends at the D.L. host D.L. Hughley; and David Spade, host of the network’s The Showbiz Show with David Spade.
“When Comedy Central was approached about participating in the festival, we were thrilled with the concept and very interested in partnering with Anheuser-Busch on an off-air event,” Comedy senior vice president of promotion marketing Mitch Fried said in a prepared statement.
“This multicultural festival allows us to successfully extend our signature, risk-taking brand off-air, where viewers can personally connect with Comedy Central,” he added.
