The world premiere of Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again on Comedy Central Sunday made the network anything but blue.
The special earned a 4.3 Nielsen Media Research household rating and was seen by 6.1 million people two-plus, making it Comedy’s second-most-watched telecast ever behind the April 22, 1998, episode of South Park, "Cartman's Mom Is Still a Dirty Slut."
Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again helped to make Sunday the network’s most-watched day ever in total day and primetime with 2.1 million and 5.1 million total viewers, respectively.
In addition, last week was Comedy’s most-watched and highest-rated week ever in primetime, as the network averaged 1.6 million total viewers.
