Claiming that they are unburdened by objectivity or even accuracy, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will combine forces with Stephen Colbert and The Colbert Report for a special Comedy Central joint presentation on Election Night next week.
The one-hour, live election-night special will feature up-to-the-minute results of the day's races from across the country. Indecision 2006: The Midterm Midtacular premieres Nov. 7 at 11 p.m. (EST, tape-delayed on the West Coast).
With the balance of power in both the Senate and the House up for grabs and many key gubernatorial seats in play, the nation has turned its focus to politics, and Comedy Central, tongue firmly in cheek, claimed that it has all of the answers.
The special Indecision 2006 presentation of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report will feature the humor, satire and sharp commentary that have made the two shows mandatory viewing for political junkies and novices alike.
The special is sponsored by American Honda Motor’s Acura and will repeat immediately following the conclusion of the live show at midnight and 1 a.m., as well as the next day at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
