Comic-Con: WGN Renews ‘Salem’

WGN will bring back its horror-themed series Salem for a third season, the network announced Saturday at the Comic Con International convention in San Diego.

The series, which reimagines the infamous 17th century witch trials in Massachusetts, averaged over 1.1 million viewers and 545,000 adults 18-49 on a live +7 basis, according to Nielsen.

Salem, which stars Janet Montgomery (Human Target), Shane West (Nikita) Seth Gabel (Arrow) and Ashley Madekwe, is executive produced by Brannon Braga, Adam Simon, Josh Barry and Jeff Kwatinez for Prospect Park, Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson, said network officials.
