On Command Corp. narrowed its first-quarter net loss to $9.1 million (29
cents per share), compared with $12.1 million (39 cents) last year.
Room revenue for the provider of in-room interactive services, business
information and guest services for the lodging industry increased by $500,000 to
"Our results of improved room revenue in total and on a per-room basis, at a
time of lower occupancy rates, validated our modular upgrade program, under
which we have installed and upgraded 42% more rooms this quarter than we did in
the first quarter of 2002, while spending 16% less capital dollars," On Command
president and CEO Chris Sophinos said in a release.
