CommScope Inc. vice president of strategic planning and business development Brian James Riley died Nov. 4 at the age of 38 following a six-year battle with cancer.
Riley rejoined CommScope in 1998 as director of broadband marketing, and he was subsequently promoted to VP of global broadband marketing in 2001 and to his most recent post earlier this year.
“Brian was an inspiration to all of us at CommScope,” chairman and CEO Frank M. Drendel said in a prepared statement. “His strength of character and bravery kept him going when many others would have given up. His insight, passion and determination will be missed by all who knew him.”
He is survived by his wife, Warnie, and two young children.
