CommScope Inc. executive vice president of global broadband sales and marketing Gene Swithenbank announced his retirement Friday effective at the end of the year.
Swithenbank will be succeeded by Jim Hughes, who was promoted to executive VP, global broadband sales and marketing from senior VP, North American broadband sales and marketing.
"Gene Swithenbank helped to found CommScope, and he has been a valuable member of our executive team since he joined us in 1971," chairman and CEO Frank Drendel said in a prepared statement.
