Concurrent Computer Corp. reported a lower net loss and higher revenue for its second fiscal quarter ending Dec. 31 compared with year-ago results.
The company posted a net loss of $1.6 million on revenue of $18.9 million, versus a net loss of $2.2 million on revenue of $16.2 million in the year-earlier period. Quarterly revenue from its on-demand division jumped from $7.3 million to $9.8 million.
“Given the known slowdown in year-end spending in the cable industry, we are pleased to show quarter-over-quarter top-line growth,” CEO Gary Trimm said in a prepared statement.
He cited increased video-on-demand-storage needs and new services like Time Warner Cable’s “Start Over” for fueling renewed growth at Concurrent.
