Concurrent launched eFactor, a workflow and distribution software platform aimed at streamlining the process of delivering multiformat video to a range of devices.
The eFactor Transmux software can repackage video assets on the fly for delivery over adaptive bit-rate formats from Apple, Adobe Systems and Microsoft. The product is available as a software development kit or as an integrated feature in multiformat origin and edge servers.
"eFactor builds on our success with service providers, and opens up new market opportunities for us to pursue," David King, Concurrent's chief marketing officer and senior vice president of video solutions said in a prepared statement. "CDNs, Internet content aggregators, telcos and cable MSOs can now leverage the video leadership Concurrent has achieved for high-quality video solutions that simplify delivery."
Concurrent plans to show eFactor at IBC 2011 in Amsterdam Sept. 9-13.
