Concurrent Computer Corp. said it has picked up five new Time Warner Cable
deployments -- encompassing 1.5 million basic and 500,000 digital subs -- for
video on demand servers during its fiscal third quarter, ending March 31.
Concurrent said it now provides servers to 15 TWC markets covering 5.1
million basic and 1.6 million digital subscribers, which is close to half of all
TWC's digital subscriber count.
Concurrent said it expects VOD revenue to hit $13 million in the quarter and
$42 million to $43 million for its fiscal year that ends June 30.
Earnings per share should be either be breakeven or one cent per share for
the year, the company said.
Separately, Concurrent entered into two DSL alliances, one for software
development with Thirdspace Living and a hardware distribution deal with Alcatel
for worldwide VOD DSL deployments.
