A slight increase in video-on-demand-division revenue wasn't enough to offset a revenue decline in Concurrent Computer Corp.'s integrated-solutions division, sending the company to a net loss of $7.5 million in its fiscal fourth quarter 2004 compared with a net loss of $6.2 million in the year-earlier period.
VOD revenue in the quarter rose 14%, from $7 million to $7.9 million, but ISD revenue dropped to $6.2 million from $8.6 million a year earlier.
For the full fiscal year, revenue rose from $75.5 million to $79.2 million, an increase of 5%. The vendor’s full-year net loss dropped from $24.6 million to $5.7 million.
"Both divisions' performances for the quarter and the fiscal year were lower than expectations," CEO Garry Trimm said. "Setting the appropriate expectations has been challenging given both the economic and market conditions we have experienced."
