Concurrent-TVGateway Combo Validated

Concurrent Computer Corp. said its 'MediaHawk' video-on-demand application
has become the first of its kind to be integrated with the TVGateway LLC
interactive program guide and to win validation from Acadia, Motorola Broadband
Communications Sector's software-integration facility.

The integrated Concurrent-TVGateway application operates under WorldGate
Communications Inc.'s 'CableWare' middleware platform and legacy 'DCT-2000'
digital boxes, the companies said. This will allow TVGateway IPG users to access
movies-on-demand and other on-demand digital-video services, the companies
added.

'This combination of interactive applications is currently in trial at a
major MSO, and we anticipate several other TVGateway-Concurrent sites to be
launched in 2001,' Concurrent vice president of business development Fred
Allegrezza said in a prepared statement.

Although the name of the MSO was undisclosed, Concurrent currently has U.S.
deployment deals with TVGateway partners Comcast Corp. and Cox Communications
Inc., as well as with Time Warner Cable.
