Cone No Longer Analyst With YES

David Cone is leaving the Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network team.

Cone, whose contract expired last season, has opted not to return and will instead more time closer to home.
"My YES deal was up at the end of the 2009 season, and I've chosen not to return in 2010 in order to spend more time with my family," Cone said in a statement. "If I do return to broadcasting, YES would be my first choice. I've enjoyed a great relationship with everyone at YES and I leave on the best of terms."

A member of four Yankees World Series winners and the author of perfect game in 1999, Cone worked in a variety of roles for YES during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, including time as a game and studio analyst and the host of the Emmy-winning kids series, Yankees on Deck.
There was no immediate word on whether Cone would be replaced or by whom at the regional sports network.
"We're looking into a number of scenarios," said a YES spokesman.
