Country Benefit Concert Planned

Country Music Television and Clear Channel Entertainment will air 'The
Country Freedom Concert' live Sunday, Oct. 21, from the Gaylord Entertainment
Center in Nashville, Tenn., to benefit victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.

CMT said the one-night-only live-music benefit will pay tribute to the
victims and will honor the efforts of rescue workers who sacrificed their lives
to save others.

George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Martina McBride are among
the artists who will participate.

CMT will telecast the live concert commercial-free Oct. 21 from 8 p.m. to 10
p.m. CMT Canada will also show the concert live. Westwood One will provide the
concert's radio feed to stations worldwide.

Proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army's wide-ranging disaster-relief
efforts. Toll-free phone lines and Web sites have been established for viewer
and listener contributions. Ticket information will be announced later this
week.

CMT and Clear Channel will underwrite all production costs. Powers Management
is providing use of the Gaylord Entertainment Center at no
cost.
