Court’s Chasing Freedom Wins ‘Gracie’

American Women in Radio & Television will present Court TV with a “Gracie Award” for original film Chasing Freedom.

The Gracie Awards recognize “outstanding programming created for women, by women and about women,” the network said.

Layla Alizada won the “Individual Achievement Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Special” Gracie for her portrayal of a woman seeking political asylum from the Taliban in Chasing Freedom.

Gracie Award winners will be honored at the annual gala in New York Wednesday, June 22.
