Court TV Contest Targets Lawyers

Courtroom Television Network announced Monday that it will kick off its
nationwide 'Anchor for a Day' contest Tuesday by inviting lawyers attending a
convention in New York to tape on-camera auditions.

More than 10,000 lawyers attending the Legal Tech Convention, sponsored by
American Lawyer, at the New York Hilton in Manhattan, will be invited by
Court TV to audition for a spot as a network anchor for a day at a special
television set.

Any licensed lawyer is eligible to enter the national contest by submitting a
videotape, the network said, noting that full contest rules are available on its
Web site.

Court TV's Catherine Crier will be on hand on Tuesday to meet the anchor
hopefuls and officially open the contest, the network announced, adding that
Regis Philbin of ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and ABC News
20/20 co-anchor John Miller will be among the judges selecting the
contest finalists.
