Court TV Extra (www.courttv.com/extra) will stream Hollins vs. Randall and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. live from the Richland County Superior Court in Columbia, S.C., starting Monday.
In the case, the retailer is being sued for gross negligence for hiring a registered sex offender, Bobby Devon Randall, without performing a background check, Court TV said. In 2000, Randall molested a 10-year-old girl in a Columbia Wal-Mart store. He pleaded guilty to committing a lewd act on a minor and later died in prison, the network added.
Court TV News will tape the trial to air at a later date.
