Cox Adds FamilyNet in Oklahoma

Cox Communications Inc. digital-cable subscribers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla., gained access to FamilyNet Thursday.

The network described itself as “a 24-hour television network airing more than 50 hours of original, values-based programs weekly providing a reliable, safe viewing destination for today's family.”

“We're adding FamilyNet to our long list of family-oriented channels because we know parents want to see more family-friendly programming," Cox Communications Oklahoma vice president of marketing Mollie Andrews said in a prepared statement.

“We believe the addition of FamilyNet -- plus our ‘Take Charge Program,’ which offers smart choices for family viewing -- will address the needs of many parents in our audience and give viewers more flexibility to choose what they want to watch,” she added.
