Cox Adds SupportSoft


SupportSoft Inc. said Cox Communications Inc. launched an online support portal, (, for its high-speed subscribers.

The Web site provides answers to service issues, a frequently-answered-questions list, a "how-to" questions list and links to online customer service.

The site can also automatically solve common problems, such as confirming electronic-mail default settings, checking network connectivity and configuring network connectivity and newsgroups.

A Cox spokesman said the site received more than 1 million visits in its first month of operation.
