Cox’s Las Vegas system said it’ll support the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon by providing broadband communications support to the charity, which funds research into muscular dystrophy.
Cox will provide a 10 megabits-per-second broadband pipeline for the charity’s administrative and production staff. Telethon organizers plan to use the pipeline to communicate with the more than 190 TV stations that carry the fund-raiser.
The telethon runs Sept. 3-4.
The donated services are worth an estimated $200,000, according to the companies providing broadband communications support to the charity.
