Cox Can Fathom an OSS Deal


Fathom Solutions will help Cox Communications Inc. to set the best practices for its operational-support systems under a deal announced Tuesday.

The vendor and the MSO will work to specify “the requirements for a next-generation service-delivery capability that will improve revenue retention through increased customer satisfaction, reduce costs through application consolidation and provide revenue assurance through more accurate insight, validation and correction of network-inventory discrepancies for [Cox’s] commercial-services division,” they said in a prepared statement.

"Increased customer demands, service complexities, new channels and new competitors are just some of the industry issues that serve to build competitive pressure and force communications-services providers to focus on their core strength -- service delivery to their customers," Fathom principal Dolan Beckel said in a prepared statement.
