Gay- and lesbian-themed The Q Television Network’s previously announced signal test Saturday will get some cable carriage.
Cox Communications Inc. in New Orleans will carry the five-hour sneak preview on its Channel 10, while Comcast Corp. will carry it on KHCV-TV in western Washington.
The New Orleans carriage will be available in more than 250,000 homes, while 1.6 million Washington homes will have access to the Q preview.
As far as satellite, the network previously said that its signal will be sent out in analog format and will be viewable to all C-band dish owners. After the test is concluded, The Q will revert to a digital scrambled signal.
Parent company Triangle Multimedia Ltd. Inc. changed the network’s name from Triangle Television Network last month.
