Cox Communications Inc. held its second-annual “Cox Connects Day” Oct. 1.

The MSO said more than 750 of its employees donated more than 4,000 hours of community service benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Employees and their family members worked on a variety of projects including painting murals, tiling, landscaping and planting gardens, Cox added.

“We really appreciate the work of Cox employees and their families," Boys & Girls Clubs of America senior vice president of information technology Bill Regehr said in a prepared statement. "Cox is a great partner and friend to our clubs both in its ongoing support as a technology sponsor and in the hundreds of critical projects Cox volunteers completed for our clubs Saturday. They have really provided a valuable model for volunteerism for corporate America.”
