Cox Communications Inc. is doing its part to keep soldiers fighting in Iraq
connected with loved ones who take phone service from the MSO.

Cox announced that it is lowering its international long-distance
calling-card rates for several nations in the Middle East for its
digital-telephone customers.

For a standard seven-minute call, the rates will drop 52 percent for calls
from Kuwait, 58 percent for calls from Saudi Arabia and 70 percent for calls
from Turkey.

"The new rates for our customers take effect immediately and are intended to
last for the duration of the overseas conflict," Cox vice president of product
marketing David Pugliese said in a release.

"Many of the communities we serve are deeply affected by troop deployments,
and keeping in touch whenever possible is essential for many families," he
added.
