Cox Communications Inc. said it launched its video-on-demand platform in Roanoke, Va. It’s the 10th Cox system to get the MSO’s “On Demand” programming, which includes 1,400 house of movies and free programming.
The VOD lineup includes Cox’s FreeZone ad-supported programming, movies ranging from $1.95 to $3.95 per title and subscription VOD content from WWE, Anime, here! and Howard Stern’s Howard TV channel.
Cox has also rolled out VOD in San Diego and Orange County, Calif., Las Vegas, New Orleans, Omaha, Neb., Oklahoma City, New England, Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia. The MSO said it’ll roll out the platform in additional markets later in 2006.
