Cox Names Brennan COO

Cox Communications said Tuesday that it has named Las Vegas market senior vice president and general manager Leo Brennan chief operations officer, effective Jan. 1.

In his new role, Brennan will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations at the 6.2 million-subscriber MSO. Brennan will be responsible for leadership of field operations, field services, customer care, marketing, public affairs, Cox Business and Cox Media.

A 35-year veteran of the cable industry, Brennan has headed up the Las Vegas operation since 2005. Prior to that he served 15 years as general manager of Cox’s Orange County, Calif. system, overseeing the launch of the industry’s first triple play bundle of voice, video and data over a single network platform.

Brennan has previously held leadership roles at Times Mirror Cable and Coaxial Communications.
