Cox Names Wolfe General Manager of New England-Cleveland Region

Cox Communications hasofficially tapped John Wolfe as the general manager of its New England-Cleveland region.

Wolfe, who had been serving as vice president of government and public affairs and interim general manager, now has daily oversight operations for the cable company's 1,400 employees in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Ohio.

He succeeds Paul Cronin, who joined corporate headquarters as senior vice president of customer experience.

Wolfe has been with the MSO since 1995. As vice president of government and public affairs, he has directed the development of the company's regional government affairs, internal and external communications, and corporate philanthropy strategies.

"John has a brilliant business mind and is a great team leader. He's been in the industry for a long time and Cox's New England-Cleveland assets will be in good hands under his leadership," said Alex Taylor, senior vice president of field operations for Cox Communications, in announcing the promotion.

Active in several industry organizations, Wolfe is vice chairman of the board of directors of the New England Cable and Telecommunications Association. He also serves on the board of directors of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and is a board member of Justice Assistance in Rhode Island.
