Time Warner Cable continued to line up distributors for its Los Angeles regional sports networks, stating in a terse statement Sunday night that it had come to terms with Cox Communications.
The Cox deal will bring the number of new distributors for the networks -- Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Spanish-language Time Warner Cable Deportes -- to four. In the past week, TWC has signed Charter Communications, Verizon FiOS and AT&T U-Verse for the channels.
In a statement, TWC said launch details would come shortly, but a person with knowledge of the deal said the agreement will allow Cox to carry the channel in time for the next Los Angeles Lakers contest on the networks, against the Utah Jazz on Nov. 7.
