Cox Communications Inc. has taken its crusade against sports-programming costs to the Internet.
The MSO launched a Web site (www.makethemplayfair.com
) Thursday "to educate consumers, media and policymakers about the rapid, unrestrained rise in the cost of cable sports channels and the threat that poses to the value of cable-television service for American cable consumers," the MSO said in a release.
The site contains background information, frequently asked questions and related news articles. It also allows consumers to e-mail sports-network representatives and national lawmakers and express their opinions.
