Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha will join Cox Communications president Pat Esser for what's billed as a "candid conversation" on the future of cable at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers' Cable-Tec Expo 2011 in Atlanta this fall.
Esser will deliver opening remarks on Tuesday, Nov. 15, to kick off the conference at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Afterward, Esser and Jha will have a 45-minute discussion about long-term approaches that will help operators meet the needs of residential and business consumers over the next five years or more.
The session is being created with input from cable technology leaders, including Cable-Tec Expo program chair Terry Cordova, senior vice president and CTO of Suddenlink Communications; Tony Werner, executive vice president and CTO of Comcast; and Mike LaJoie, executive vice president and CTO of Time Warner Cable.
Cable-Tec Expo 2011 will take place Nov. 15-17, preceded by the SCTE's Capacity Management Symposium and other workshops on Monday, Nov. 14.
