Cox Communications president Pat Esser will deliver the opening address at The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers' Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta this fall.
The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2011 is set to take place Nov. 14-17 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Esser will deliver the address on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
"Cable's ability to deliver the products and services consumers demand with the quality they expect will be essential to the future success of our industry," Esser said in a statement. "SCTE Cable-Tec Expo plays an important role in advancing the education and skills our executives, managers and field engineers require to meet and exceed our customers' needs today and in the future."
The 2011 Cable-Tec Expo program committee is chaired by Suddenlink Communications CTO Terry Cordova.
SCTE is seeking proposals for technical sessions, which will be held Monday through Thursday, Nov. 14-17. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, June 10. The call for papers can be accessed in the Events section of the SCTE's website.
