College Sports Television has reached a multiyear partnership agreement with US Lacrosse that will expand national coverage of men's and women's college-lacrosse events.
While financial details were not revealed, CSTV officials said the network will receive "financial support" to produce and broadcast a CSTV "Games of the Week" package, which will include a number of live telecasts during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
The partnership also provides the network with exclusive rights to produce and broadcast a one-hour highlight show on the 2004 and 2005 US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates National Championships.
Last July, CSTV broadcast live the finals of the US Lacrosse-hosted men's and women's 2003 Under-19 World Lacrosse Championships, the network said.
The pact comes on the cleats of a CSTV deal with CBS under which the cable network gained the rights to televise the championships of Division I, II and III women's lacrosse, as well as the men's championships in Divisions II and III.
