A new annual seminar devoted to business-to-business service strategies is
coming from the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, and it
is coming to Atlanta next month.
CTAM's Commercial Services Seminar, announced Wednesday morning at the
organization's annual Digital Summit in New Orleans, will be part of an
initiative identifying how cable operators can grow their relationships with the
Cox Communications Inc. operations senior vice president John Dyer will
co-chair the May seminar and lead a business-services-planning council to
regularly brief operators on possible directions.
The seminar will take place May 15.
"The commercial-services market can be as lucrative to cable as residential,
and it has been a major growth engine for Cox," Dyer said in a prepared
Dyer will co-chair the conference with Ken Fitzpatrick, senior VP of business
services at Time Warner Cable.
"Coupled with low penetration rates, high margins and a very favorable
competitive environment, this makes for a great growth and revenue opportunity
for us all," Fitzpatrick added in the CTAM announcement.
Conference subjects will include best MSO and system practices;
business-market research; creating a positive sales culture; and leveraging
commercial-service technology for marketplace success.
