Alexandria, Va.— The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing has appointed its new officers and board of directors for 2007.
Cox Communications Inc. senior vice president of marketing Joe Rooney will serve as chair of CTAM, while Sean Bratches, executive vice president of sales and marketing at ESPN, is the vice chair of the cable-industry’s marketing organization. Dave Watson, executive vice president of Comcast, is the group’s immediate past chair.
CTAM named Sam Howe, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Time Warner Cable, its secretary. A Time Warner Inc. colleague, HBO president of sales and marketing Eric Kessler, is the CTAM treasurer for next year.
The newly elected directors are: Bill Goodwyn, Discovery Networks president of affiliate sales and marketing; Andy Heller, Turner Broadcasting System president of domestic distribution; and Wonya Lucas, general manager, The Weather Channel.
“I’m looking forward to working with the new directors and officers,” CTAM CEO Char Beales said in a statement. “Each brings a wealth of industry knowledge, strategic planning and creativity to their roles as CTAM leaders that will greatly benefit both our organization and our members.”
The CTAM Educational Foundation’s 2007 officers: Heller as chair; Dinesh Jain, chief operating officer of Insight Communications Inc. as vice chair; and Beales as secretary/treasurer.
