The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association said it now has 1,050 members spanning 107 companies throughout the cable industry.
The organization more than doubled its ranks from 500 members 15 months ago.
“The CTHRA’s growth reflects the industry’s focus on its people, and we applaud this strategic mindset,” CTHRA president and regional vice president of HR for Time Warner Cable’s Texas region Juan L. Munoz said in a prepared statement.
“Industry convergence has elevated the competition for talent to an all-time high resulting in intense pressure to hire, develop and retain quality people who can fuel an organization’s ongoing success,” he added. “The CTHRA is uniquely positioned to assist cable companies in their efforts by providing industry-specific human-relations best practices and benchmarks.”
