CTPAA Announces Forum Speakers


The Cable Television Public Affairs Association announced Friday that key cable executives will participate in the group’s Forum 2006 in Washington, D.C., March 19-22.

Scheduled speakers at the March 20 opening general session will include John Bickham, president, cable and communications, Cablevision Systems Corp.; Landel Hobbs, chief operating officer, Time Warner Cable; Neil Smit, CEO, Charter Communications Inc.; Abbe Raven, CEO, A&E Television Networks; and David Zaslav, president, NBC Universal Cable.

On March 21, National Cable & Telecommunications Association president Kyle McSlarrow is scheduled to deliver remarks on his first year in the job as the industry top lobbyist.

The CTPAA is expecting 400-500 cable public-affairs professionals to attend. The event is being held at the JW Marriott Hotel, located two blocks from the White House.
