Curtain Drops on ReelzChannel

ReelzChannel is set to officially launch Wednesday at 6 p.m. (EST)/3 p.m. (PST).

The Hubbard Media Group-owned network, which was originally coined MovieWatch (www.multichannel.com/article/CA6342744.html), will be available in 28 million TV homes nationwide via multichannel-video distributors such as DirecTV, EchoStar Communications’ Dish Network, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter, Bright House Networks and Insight Communications.

The network’s companion Web site (www.reelzchannel.com) will launch globally at the same time.

“In this exciting era of ever-expanding movie options on numerous premium-movie channels, pay-per-view, video-on-demand, DVD and in the theaters, navigating effectively through all of these choices has become a daunting challenge," ReelzChannel Chairman and CEO Stanley E. Hubbard said in a prepared statement.

"That challenge has now been met thanks to the cable operators and satellite systems that have partnered with us to reach a record number of subscribers at launch,” he added.
