Daniels Fund Donates $8.4M, Bolsters Board

The Daniels Fund board approved $8.4 million in grants and added two board members during its quarterly meeting.

Colorado Springs real estate developer Steve Schuck and cable-industry veteran June Travis were added to the fund’s board of directors.

Organizations receiving grants included: Denver Rescue Mission ($500,000); Gathering Place ($500,000); Catholic Charities initiatives including Mission Shelter, Guadalupe Shelter, Father Ed Judy House and Samaritan House ($262,500); Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association ($200,000); Little Sisters of the Poor ($159,000); Arapahoe House Inc. ($200,000); National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University ($125,000); Presbyterian Ear Institute ($150,000); Clayton Foundation ($500,000); Jefferson County School District ($179,000); Habitat for Humanity ($120,000); and Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver ($400,000).
