‘Deadliest Catch’ Keeps Reelin’ In New Viewers

Tuesday night's episode of Deadliest Catch garnered a 2.45 rating and more than 3.45 million viewers, helping it to tie CNN’s Election Center for the top primetime, non-sports cable program of the evening, Discovery Channel officials said.

So far this season, Deadliest Catch viewership is up 11 percent on average compared to last season’s ratings.

Tuesday’s episode, title “No Mercy,” drew 1 million women viewers between 25 and 54 years of age, the second-highest female audience in the show’s history behind the Season 3 finale.

Among all viewers in the key 25-54 demographic, Catch posted a 2.25 rating.

Discovery officials said Tuesday’s episode was third most-watch program among all primetime shows, beating out the likes of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Results and CBS’s Shark in the 9 p.m. timeslot.
