Deadline Looms For SCTE’s Paper Chase

Attention, procrastinators: the deadline to submit tech paper proposals for this year’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo is looming.

The Society issued a gentle reminder that Friday, April 4, is the drop dead date to submit abstracts (one page, 300 words maximum), which will be considered for tech presentations at this year’s show, set for September 22-25 in Denver.

The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2014 Program Committee is targeting papers that address technologies, best practices, solutions, workforce training, and case studies in three key subject areas: customer experience; next-generation video (including IP video, Ultra HD formats, and new-gen user interfaces); and next-generation networks (including virtualized- and software-defined networks, and energy and event management).

Abstracts will be reviewed by the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2014 Program Committee, chaired by Comcast EVP and CTO Tony Werner. The committee expects to announce selected abstracts by May 16, with electronic versions of resulting technical papers due to SCTE by June 27.
