In Demand Cuts Include L.A. Shop

Pay-per-view and video-on-demand purveyor In Demand is eliminating one-dozen jobs and closing its Los Angeles office as part of a cost-reduction effort.

Nearly one-dozen Los Angeles-based employees will be given an opportunity to relocate to the company’s New York-area offices, but it’s unclear how many people will take the offer.

Dan York, a PPV veteran and In Demand’s senior vice president of programming and development, said he will not take the offer to relocate and will remain in Los Angeles to pursue other opportunities.

The cuts will affect mostly the affiliate-relations and finance departments within the more-than-200-employee network, according to In Demand sources.
