In Demand Signs New Line for VOD

In Demand L.L.C. will begin offering New Line Cinema titles representing
around $500 million in box-office revenue next month on-demand, including
John Q, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and
Blade II.

Sources said operators will receive the standard 40 percent split of
video-on-demand revenue.

In Demand can also offer New Line titles as early as 40 days after home
video. Traditionally, PPV windows don't open until 50 to 60 days after the
home-video period, but the time frames have moved in PPV's favor recently as
MSOs roll out expanded PPV and VOD channels.

New Line joins Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox,
Columbia TriStar, DreamWorks SKG and Artisan Entertainment in signing multiyear
VOD-output deals with In Demand.
