Destiny's Child Hits PPV in May

Grammy Award-winning female rhythm-and-blues group Destiny's Child will
appear in a pay-per-view concert May 5, several days after the group's new
compact disc release.

The taped event, Destiny's Child: Survivor in Concert, will feature
the group performing its chart-topping hits, as well as interviews with the
trio, Spring Communications president John Rubey said.

Destiny's Child won two Grammys in February.

The event will retail at $14.95, Rubey said.

Spring forged a marketing tie-in with Candie's shoes in which consumers
purchasing Candie's products at more than 400 Gadzooks Inc. shoe-store outlets
will receive $5 off the concert's PPV price.

Destiny's Child is the second marquee artist to appear in a PPV concert this
year. Controversial rap artist Eminem bowed in a February concert one week prior
to the 2001 Grammys, where he eventually won four awards. The PPV concert's
performance, however, was somewhat of a disappointment, registering only around
50,000 buys.
