DirecTV Adds Local Pax TV

Paxson Communications Corp. announced Monday that it has won carriage on
DirecTV Inc. for local Pax TV stations in 37 markets.

The stations are protected under must-carry rules. The direct-broadcast
satellite provider already carries a national Pax TV feed.

'Our local advertisers are now able to reach the high-end DirecTV customer,'
Paxson president Jeff Sagansky said in a press release. 'This will also allow
DirecTV viewers access to Pax's strong local programming.'

The markets involved include top cities such as New York, Los Angeles and
Chicago.
