DirecTV Adds VPs in D.C.

Stacy Fuller and Andrew Reinsdorf have joined DirecTV Group Inc.’s lobbying office in Washington, D.C.

Fuller, named vice president of regulatory affairs, had been media legal advisor to Federal Communications Commission member Kathleen Abernathy.

And Reinsdorf, who joins the direct-broadcast satellite provider as VP of government affairs, had been senior VP at the National Association of Broadcasters.

Fuller will be responsible for pursuing DirecTV's regulatory-policy objectives before the FCC, while Reinsdorf will be responsible for the company’s Capitol Hill lobbying efforts.

“Stacy and Andrew bring to DirecTV a unique skill set of extensive legal and legislative experience, background in the television industry and, ultimately, thorough knowledge of the ways of Washington," DirecTV Group head of government affairs Susan Eid said in a prepared statement.

“Not only will their appointments give DirecTV a more significant presence in Washington, their experience and backgrounds will benefit us in the critical legislative and regulatory issues we face,” she added.
