DirecTV Group Inc. will participate in a new study on employee health and productivity.
The direct-broadcast satellite provider will work with health-intelligence and solutions company CorSolutions on the study, which is being funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
An evaluation tool will be applied to DirecTV's “WorkWell+Plus” employee-health program, which is being provided in partnership with CorSolutions.
The program -- which has already yielded health improvements for employees at DirecTV’s customer-contact center in Boise, Idaho -- includes online tools and health information, personalized risk reduction and condition-management support.
"We believe that an investment in health produces both a return for our employees, as well as our business," DirecTV human-resources communications manager Kaye Reznick said in a prepared statement.
"The design of our work-force-health program and the positive results generated to date are ideally suited for a study on health and productivity,” she added.
